Features of qualification training of researchers in an academic environment in the specialty of «Mining»

Abstract

An innovative model for training PhDs in the specialty G16 "Mining and Oil and Gas Technologies" (specialization "Mining") is presented, based on the principles of research-based education and implemented within an academic environment. The author's approach to developing professional competencies through the direct integration of candidates into a "live" research process following the "development – implementation – evaluation of results" cycle is shown. It is noted that the influence of the academic community, achieved by integrating high-tech developments into the educational process, ensures an inseparable connection between fundamental science and engineering practice, forming the competencies necessary to solve non-standard tasks under conditions of technogenic risks.
